Scottsdale Fashion Square is hosting a free back-to-school event on August 13

As the countdown to class begins for thousands of students across the Valley, Scottsdale Fashion Square has become style central to help them look their best ahead of their first day.

On Saturday, Aug. 13, Scottsdale Fashion Square’s Palm Court will be the epicenter of all things cool for the school to help students look and feel their best this year, a press release explained.

As explained in the announcement, starting at 1:00 p.m., shoppers will have the opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of activities, including two fashion shows at 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. featuring hot styles and trends for the upcoming school year from a host of retailers and an interactive Sephora Style Station to help students perfect their look.

With live music from Desert Stages on the main stage, the FORD/Robert Black Agency is holding a model search open to kids ages 5 to 18 from 1 p.m., looking at all genders, races and sizes, no no experience is necessary except to bring your best self, the release states.

Additionally, Scottsdale Fashion Square will host a school drive to help collect backpacks, school supplies and monetary donations for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale.

From now until Aug. 31, shoppers can drop off backpacks and donations at concierge desks located in the luxury wing and Palm Court near Gucci, according to the release.
