Virginia Tech and Boston College meet for the 31st time on the football field Saturday night, revisiting their rivalry with the BIG EAST Conference and including two ACC Championship Game matchups.

December 1, 2007 – Virginia Tech 30, Boston College 16
After Boston College QB Matt Ryan made a heartbreaking, last-minute touchdown to take down Tech in Bluesburg in the regular season, it was the Hokies who got the last laugh as Tech captured its second ACC championship. The teams were tied 16-16 entering the fourth quarter, but quarterback Tyrod Taylor sparked Tech’s second drive of the quarter with a 31-yard run up the middle. Quarterback Sean Glenn’s 24-yard touchdown pass to receiver Eddie Royal—Glennon’s third of the game—capped the drive for a 23-16 lead with just over seven minutes remaining. October 27, 2005 – Virginia Tech 30, Boston College 10
The teams met for the first time as ACC programs and No. 3 Virginia Tech beat Boston College by 13 on a chilly Thursday night in Blacksburg. Tech quarterback Marcus Vick completed 22 of 28 passes for 280 yards with a touchdown and added 52 yards on the ground. Receivers Eddie Royal and Josh Morgan each had a touchdown, and running back Mike Imoh led the team with 60 rushing yards. Defensive back Vince Hall capped Tech’s victory with a 13-yard interception return with three minutes left.

November 26, 1999 – Virginia Tech 38, Boston College 14
The 1999 Virginia Tech football team’s final regular season game was exactly what everyone expected – quarterback Michael Vick made some spectacular plays, receiver Andre Davis hauled in a long TD pass and defensive coordinator Bud Foster’s defense held the Eagles’ offense to just two points. .
