Food brand Rhodes Quality has launched a new initiative called Grow with Goodness in partnership with social enterprise Real Gardening, which aims to develop sustainable food gardens for 60 South African schools.

Every time customers buy a 1-liter bottle of Rhodes Quality 100% Fruit Juice this summer, Rhodes Quality is feeding vulnerable communities in the area, especially hungry children.
Tamara Patel, Rods Quality Brand Manager at RFG said, “We are excited to kick off the summer with this meaningful initiative and that’s why we partnered with Real Gardening to grow gardens full of goodness in schools.”
“A portion of this summer’s juice sales will fund the development of community gardens in 60 schools across the country,” she said. “We are working hard to help affected communities and feed hungry children and we are asking all South Africans to join us as we plant gardens around South Africa.”
“South Africa’s deteriorating food security situation has been exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic, with an estimated 11% of our population suffering from hunger,” said Patel. “Our new winter brand campaign is focused on ‘Go with goodness’ which means we want to provide fresh and healthy meals to as many schools as possible.

The partnership will also see Real Gardening teach school children about planting and growing produce in an accessible, sustainable and fun way.
