Saint Anthony – As summer vacation approaches, shoppers can find some fresh August deals during Labor Day and back-to-school sales.
“The back-to-school shopping season is upon us, and there are tons of deals on everything your kids need to get back to class,” says Samantha Gordon of Consumer Reports. This includes things like laptops, tablets, and headphones, as well as clothing, bags, notebooks, and other tech gadgets you need.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go (64GB) is now on sale at Amazon for $390. That’s a $160 discount. The laptop has a touch screen and has a fast and efficient solid state drive.
If you’re looking for something simpler, you can find a lot on a tablet. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 now costs $565 on Amazon. It’s usually $700.
And as Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, Consumer Reports says look for more deals starting well before September.

“You can expect to see discounts on big-ticket items like furniture, mattresses and other summertime products,” Gordon said.
The Kamado Joe Classic II 18-inch Grill is now on sale for $915 at Amazon and Walmart. Dropped from $1300. Consumer Reports says this is the best Kamado grill they’ve tried.
And finally, whether you’re cleaning your house or your college dorm, August might be a good month to find a deal on a vacuum.
The Shark Rotator Professional Lift Away is now $250 at Amazon and Home Depot.
According to Consumer Reports, August is a great month to find deals on wireless routers, microwave ovens, printers, steam irons, computers and dehumidifiers.
