UNCW has named Gino Z. Galutera associate vice chancellor for business services

Following a national search, Gino Z. Galutera has been named associate vice chancellor for business services at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. His appointment is effective immediately.

Business Services consists of three main departments that manage a variety of programs that serve the University’s students, faculty, staff, visitors, alumni, and guests. These programs include, but are not limited to: Campus Dining, UNCW Bookstore, Parking, Transportation, One Card Office, Seahawk Mail, Printing Services, Passport Services, and the Sustainability Office.

“Mr. Galuterra’s experience in effectively managing contract services and implementing process/technology-based improvements will allow him to continue to improve business services and build on the valuable services we currently provide,” said Miles Lackey, Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs.

Galutera previously served as UNCW’s Director of Auxiliary Services. He joined UNCW from Brandeis University, where he served as managing director of auxiliary services. Prior to that, he worked at The Citadel, where he served as Associate Director of Support Services and Director of One Card Services.

Galutera has a successful track record of directly planning and implementing quality service improvements across a variety of ancillary functions, including campus dining, bookstore operations, beverage/vendor services, and single card operations. Galutera also has experience in the private sector as Corporate Marketing Manager for the Stick Finger Restaurant Group.

Galutera has an MBA from The Citadel and a BA/BS in Spanish from Furman University in Biology.
