Which one is best for your business? – Forbes Consulting India

Free plan

ZipRecruiter does not offer any free plans. LinkedIn allows employers to use Job Postings to list open positions for free, but if they want higher visibility, they must pay to sponsor the listing.

Napa’s experiment

ZipRecruiter has a four-day free trial, which means you can post one job listing. Once your trial ends, you’ll lose access to candidate data unless you continue with a paid plan. LinkedIn has a free trial period of 7 to 30 days for its paid plans as long as you are a new user.

Pricing

Pricing for both LinkedIn and ZipRecruiter is difficult because you have to provide your information or start testing to get pricing. When we contacted ZipRecruiter’s sales team, we received no response and were dismissed when we tried to retrieve prices for each of the plans. Upon extensive investigation of real customer reviews, this is a common complaint about both sales and customer support teams.

LinkedIn pricing for its paid plans depends on the number of jobs you post, how often you hire, and the size of your company. For this reason, you should contact the sales team. Based on customer reviews, large recruitment companies can expect to pay thousands.

It resumes in the database

While users can upload their resumes to LinkedIn and apply for jobs with one click (depending on the employer’s settings), it’s not a resume database like ZipRecruiter, which has more than 32 million job prospects on file. LinkedIn operates globally and claims to have over 740 million active members.

Candidate assessment tools

Both LinkedIn and ZipRecruiter have screening questions to eliminate candidates who don’t meet your basic criteria. The latter has deal-breaker questions to automatically hide candidates who either didn’t answer the question or answered it incorrectly. LinkedIn has a built-in skills assessment to verify a candidate’s skills in specific areas.

The number of job boards to be posted

ZipRecruiter posts your job listing to over 100 different job boards, including boards specifically for veterans. LinkedIn does not post jobs with third parties, but updated posts send emails or push notifications to match candidates.

Sponsored listings

For sponsored zip worker job listings, unless you have the Pro plan which comes with 100 credits, you must purchase TrafficBoost credits. TrafficBoost is good for 100 views of your listing or up to 30 days, whichever comes first. Buy only the credits you need, as these expire after three months.

LinkedIn has sponsored listings on a pay-per-click basis. You can set the budget and adjust it at any time.
