Oliver Tolentino received a major honor this week when the organizers of Vienna Fashion Week announced an invitation for the designer to present at MQ VIENNA FASHION WEEK.22 (MQVFW.22) next September in Vienna, Austria. Aurum 999.9 MagBook, the luxury coffee table magazine, will sponsor Tolentino’s show.

Tolentino, who is based in Beverly Hills, California, and has dressed almost a hundred Hollywood celebrities, will be the first Filipino designer to present a collection at VIENNA FASHION WEEK. Vienna is a European capital of fashion, famous for hosting over 400 official balls during its social season.

MQVFW.22 will take place from September 12 to 17. Creative Headz partners Elvyra Geyer, Zigi Mueller-Matyas and Maria Oberfrank have organized MQVFW for fourteen years, producing a diverse program for fashionistas, trade experts and the international press.

MQVFW.22 will present 36 shows, 1000 designs and 140 models. The hourly fashion shows will take place in a 500-capacity tent located in the famous MuseumsQuartier. MQVFW.22 attracts approximately 5,000 guests during the week and attracts more than 20 television, print and online media partners.

The opening show of the Vienna Fashion Week.22 on September 12, styled by a renowned Austrian designer, will present an outfit from each participating designer. Organizers have asked Oliver Tolentino to attend and present a look that night before the fashion show of his 30-piece collection on the night of September 14.

When asked for comment, Tolentino said: “It is an incredible honor to be invited to present in Vienna and to be hosted in such a historically amazing city with a rich fashion history and with so many fashionistas in attendance.” He added, “I can’t wait to present an autumn/winter collection in the season.”
