VisualCortex and i-PRO Collaborate on Enterprise-Wide Computer Vision Tech Deployments

August 3, 2022 — VisualCortex has partnered with i-PRO for intelligent surveillance and public safety advanced surveillance technologies to facilitate end-to-end deployment of enterprise-wide video analytics solutions in the Asia Pacific region and the surrounding area. the world.

The partnership combines VisualCortex’s video intelligence software and machine learning model storage with i-PRO’s market-leading hardware components, including AI-enabled video surveillance cameras, body and vehicle camera systems, network video recorders and edge devices.

The technology alliance is supported by a mutual referral agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, both parties will be able to recommend products such as preferred computer vision software and hardware offerings – at discounted prices to current and future customers.

VisualCortex CEO and co-founder Patrick Elliott of the i-PRO APAC partnership helps VisualCortex analyze, identify and enhance captured video streams – an important challenge faced in most computer vision projects.

“The technology partnership with i-PRO APAC allows our customers to test VisualCortex devices before deployment,” said Elliott. “This ensures that we feed high-quality video feeds and deliver optimized results to our clients. The continued support of the i-PRO APAC team to both our development and customer success teams is essential to delivering high-quality results.”

“i-PRO ensures that tools used in computer vision engagement can produce the best data results possible. This enables VisualCortex to better identify and analyze incidents, empowering our customers to use their video assets efficiently and make the most data-driven decisions possible.”

Matthew Terry, National Sales Manager, i-PRO APAC (Oceania) said the partnership will help organizations harness the power of video as a source of data and analytical insight.

“I am confident that the combination of VisualCortex – i-PRO APAC technology will push computer vision into the mainstream by addressing both the software and hardware sides of the video analytics equation,” said Terre. “The VisualCortex approach enables customers to recognize multiple objects and actions across multiple video sources and systems in one platform. By combining that approach with the best AI-enabled tools and configurations, we can create powerful video-based insights for end users.

“If organizations see the potential — and the ease of integrating video-based data with other traditional data sources — large multipurpose, enterprise-grade computer vision deployments will become commonplace. For the first time, we’re making it easy to analyze and act on video footage at scale.”

Elliott added that it’s also important to partner with a hardware vendor that has expertise beyond traditional CCTV capabilities.

“i-PRO are industry leaders in open SDK and AI-enabled video surveillance cameras, sensor technology and edge devices,” said Elliott. “When VisualCortex customers need assistance in upgrading existing or configuring and implementing new hardware, i-PRO APAC has the skilled workforce and toolset to deliver superior insights.

“At i-PRO APAC, we know our customers have the hardware and IoT support they need to help them implement video data across the enterprise.”

Headquartered in Singapore, i-PRO APAC was established as a new legal entity in April 2022, having previously operated as a division of Panasonic Holdings Corporation under the name Panasonic i-PRO Sensing Solutions.
