Etna Woman has launched a Pickerington home care business to help the elderly and disabled stay in their homes as long as possible.
Pickerington city officials and the Pickerington Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate Right of Home at 12927 Stoke Creek Drive, Suite B.
For her husband, Holly Holton, opening her own business has been a long-time goal, and she believes her company will bring home care services to seniors and people with disabilities throughout Fairfield County and the southern parts of Franklin County.
Holton has 28 years of experience in occupational therapy or post-acute care in the private sector. That work includes time in skilled nursing facilities as well as skilled home health care and home medicine.
“I opened my office at Wright Home to make a positive impact on seniors and adults with disabilities in the Pickerington area,” Holton said. “Healthcare is moving to the home … and everyone wants to stay in their home as long as they can. We can provide resources to help them.”

Holton said she has 35 to 40 employees and expects that number to grow as she gets more customers.
Right at Home will be licensed by the Ohio Department of Health in October under new state regulations that will apply to non-medical home care providers starting Oct. 1. Holton said all of the company’s caregivers are bonded and insured. .
The range of in-home services is long, from meal preparation and errands, to helping clients get dressed and transported to appointments.
“Right at Home is a non-medical home care service that helps seniors and people with disabilities stay in their homes as long as possible,” Holton said. “We do companion services, personal care, transportation and medication reminders.
“We can do rehab-at-home or help someone return home after a recent hospital stay. We also provide special care for clients with Alzheimer’s and dementia. We can do one shift a week up to 24/7 care.
According to Right N Home’s website, the company specializes in tailoring care to a person’s unique needs and can provide services “at home, in an independent or assisted living community, or elsewhere.”
Kim Ballagh, president of the Pickerington Area Chamber of Commerce, said the community’s true welcome at home has been demonstrated in recent years by the expansion of medical facilities at OhioHealth and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center with patient and specialized medical care options. .
