The Wyoming County Business Center supports small rural businesses

Four businesses recently completed the Wyoming County Business Accelerator Academy Spring Program, an intensive customized business training program offered by the Wyoming County Business Center.
Business owners of Takbari Trophies and Gifts, Endless Outdoor Company, Butter Meat Company and Freestyle Mercantile have developed new business strategies and tactics to increase their growth and profitability. They learned the strategic thinking process to identify their businesses unique competitive advantage and dramatically improve their business performance.
“The spring class was a mix of product and service businesses that got interesting conversations, discoveries and perspectives,” said Jennifer Tychka, program manager of the program and Grow Their Businesses.
The Wyoming County Business Accelerator Academy is one of the programs launched in 2021 to provide small business programs and technical assistance to businesses looking to reach the next level of business growth, said Wyoming County Business Center President Jim Pierce. “I encourage every business owner – established or just starting out – to visit the Wyoming County Economic Development website wycoida.org to find resources to help you grow and develop your business,” Pierce said.
Guest speakers for this session include Briana Stone, Tompkins Bank of Castile; Kim Brown-Webster, full salary; and Tom Lyon, Lyon Global, who enhanced the learning experience and provided valuable tools and insights to the Academy participants.
