CHICAGO – October 19, 2022 – Cooley has strengthened the growing business restructuring and reorganization practice group with Eric Walker as a partner in the firm’s global litigation department. Walker arrives from Perkins Coy, where he served as a partner in the Bankruptcy & Restructuring and Commercial Litigation practice groups. He is widely recognized for his strategic acumen, representing companies and creditor committees in highly regulated industries in all aspects of corporate restructuring and financial litigation.

Walker has deep experience representing sophisticated clients in the most pressing corporate restructuring and financial litigation needs, including debtors, creditors’ committees, private equity sponsors, foster horse bidders, owners and other parties in out-of-court restructuring negotiations, bankruptcy and litigation. He has extensive experience in the healthcare industry and has successfully improved hospital systems, senior living facilities, continuing care retirement communities, skilled nursing facilities, behavioral health centers and diagnostic medical laboratories. Walker also serves on the Board of Directors of the Bankruptcy Institute of America.
