DapperQ, the biggest queer fashion show returns to kick off New York Fashion Week. Last Thursday, on the opening day of New York Fashion Week, dapperQ, the iconic queer style website, offered a quirky alternative to “traditional binary male/female runway shows” (according to their press release) with a eight designers, 70+ queer models. NYC’s Brooklyn Museum Fashion Show. The show, Bloom,r returned to the Brooklyn Museum after a two-year hiatus. There were over 14,000 tickets sold and it became the largest New York Fashion Week (NYFW) runway event ever to showcase queer style. The WNBA has ended up being left behind in media rights deals. “The league is experiencing unprecedented growth, including the most watched regular season in 14 years.” I have to say, I’m a part of this growth – not only did I get into the WNBA this year, it’s the year I got two more people into the WNBA, and I know we say it often, but this league is so gay AND very good and damn i love it so much.
