Black Leaders Detroit hosts Detroit Drip at Riverside Marina
Detroit Drip celebrates designers and business of color in Detroit on Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m
DETROIT, Mich. (FOX 2) – Black Leaders Detroit (BLD) is hosting a fashion event celebrating designers and entrepreneurs of color in Detroit.
Detroit Drip is held at Riverside Marina on Sunday from 3:00pm to 8:00pm Registered businesses will feature a model in an outfit of their choice.
The public votes on who represents Detroit Drip in these categories: formal, urban, men’s and women’s wear.
One black-owned business will be awarded an unrestricted grant of $5,000.
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at detroitdrip.org. All proceeds will fund BLD’s mission to provide financial support for various social and community impact projects created and led by Detroiters of African descent.
BLD has funded $568,000 to Black-led businesses and organizations through the collaborative economy. The organization strives to reduce socio-economic inequalities.
