Everything a fashion editor in Norway wore to the Oslo runway

If I’m being completely transparent, I’ve never been a “good” packer. While everyone I’ve ever traveled with learned early on that luggage was the safest and easiest way to go, I stubbornly stood my ground. Ignoring logic, I submitted to a lifetime of panicking at the baggage carousel, crossing my fingers that my suitcase would eventually arrive at the belt unscathed. Then the pandemic happened. One too many articles about lost luggage later, I finally forced myself to become a handy person.

Last week, when I flew to Norway to attend Oslo Runway (the city’s version of fashion week), it was the first time I can honestly say that I packed up. Twice this summer, I’ve traveled internationally with just one glove, and both times, I’ve been disappointed at how chaotic a job I’ve done. But this time, I finally managed to pack one almost the perfect number of pieces for the three-night stay that included press dinners, launch parties, runway shows and presentations. We even went into the forest two hours outside of Oslo to visit Vestre, the world’s most sustainable furniture factory.

To celebrate my packing accomplishment, I thought I’d document all the hand-picked items I brought with me, saluting the pieces I’ve worn more than once and even admitting loss to the ones I unfortunately had to they had stayed at home. Check out everything I packed and wore below.
