“Let’s begin the bulletin with news on the trailer of Qala which is out now, and it follows the story of a singer in the film industry. Set in the 1940s, the film’s trailer follows a singer who is at the peak of her career, played by Triptii Dimri. As she gets more successful, she starts losing her sense of reality and the new competition in the form of Jagan, played by Babil Khan, starts messing her up.

The film also stars Amit Sial, Amit Trivedi, Girija Oak, Kausar Munir, Samir Kochhar, Swanand Kirkire, Tasveer Kamil and Varun Grover. “
“More on the film Qala: Babil is philosophical, introspective and, following the footsteps of his father Irrfan Khan, hungry for good work. The actor, who makes his debut with writer-filmmaker Anvitaa Dutt’s Qala, says he is keen to explore his tricks rather than ape the magic his father created on-screen.

Babil began filming the upcoming Netflix film two years ago, a few months after Irrfan passed away in April 2020. At the trailer launch of the film, Babil acknowledged that he is under a “lot of pressure.”

He said, “Two years ago when we were shooting, that time also the pressure was there. It would overwhelm me, it would scare me but now it motivates me to do better and work. The definition of pressure has changed now.”

“Moving on, Actor Darsheel Safary, who shot to fame as a child artist in Taare Zameen Par, recently recalled his experience of working with Aamir Khan. In an interview, Darsheel said that Aamir was like a ‘father figure to him, and added that he was also occasionally ‘scared’ of the star.

Talking to Quint Neon, Darsheel said, “He was like a father figure on set. I was scared of him. I knew if I go slightly out of the way, I would get shouting but I never got shouted at.”

Darsheel will soon be making his comeback with a short film Capital A small a, which will release on Amazon Mini TV. The film also stars Revathi Pillai in the lead.

“Meanwhile,

Filmmaker Karan Johar’s knack for matchmaking and uniting couples earned him the title ‘Sima Aunty’ from Twinkle Khanna. Twinkle compared him to the popular matchmaker Sima Taparia from the reality show Indian Matchmaking, as KJo has claimed credit for the success behind many marriages in Bollywood.

Twinkle said during her conversation with him for Tweak India, “You are the Sima aunty of the movie business. You keep doing this matchmaking and your father did the same thing. When I was speaking to Waheeda Rahman, she mentioned that your father fixed up her marriage, it’s some genetic predisposition to get people together.”

“Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is celebrating nine years of his blockbuster romantic drama Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. While speaking of the film, Bhansali reflected on the movie’s action, its lead stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s pairing and why he wanted the film to reach a wider audience.

He also praised his lead actors, Ranveer and Deepika, and called them wonderful performers. He said that the couple was able to successfully depict the undying love of Ram and Leela on the big screen. Bhansali added that while the two ultimately gave winning performances, Deepika would ‘sometimes be taken aback by her character arc since neither Ranveer nor Deepika had played such bold roles before.”
“In other news,

Shah Rukh Khan will return to the big screen after a gap of five years. The star has blocked 2023 with three films—Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. A while ago, the actor had said that he was sure the films would be hits. Recently, he explained his statement

SRK, who was recently in Sharjah to attend the 41st edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) 2022 at the Expo Centre, said at the event, “I don’t think I need to be nervous. That’s the belief I sleep with and wake up with. Because if I did not have the belief, at the end of it all, I would not be able to do what I am doing right now.””
“Abhishek Bachchan, who is promoting his Prime Video web series Breathe Into The Shadows Season 2, has been in the movies for over 22 years now but along the way, he has faced his fair share of criticism. In a recent interview, Abhishek said that he still reads all the reviews that his performances receive and collects them in a scrapbook.

When asked if this advice came from his father, actor Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek confirmed it and said, “He said to keep it there and read it every day and go out there and prove them wrong.””

“Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has hinted at joining filmmaker Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy universe with a movie tentatively titled Vampire. There is speculation that the franchise, which started with Amar Kaushik’s Stree (2018), will expand with Vampire, featuring Ayushmann and Yashoda star Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

Asked about the status of Vampire, Ayushmann said the makers will share an official announcement soon. “Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik are trying to build a horror universe. It is very interesting and intriguing and it is very new for the Indian audience. So, let’s see when it happens and we will have an official announcement soon.””

Ayushmann will next be seen in the film An Action Hero alongside Jaideep Ahlawat.”
