“Let’s begin with our top story. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has advised makers of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s upcoming film Pathaan to implement changes in the film, including in its songs, and submit a revised version for certification, chairperson Prasoon Joshi has said in a statement. The film was caught in a controversy after Deepika was seen in a saffron-coloured swimsuit in its song, Besharam Rang.
The statement said: “The film recently reached the CBFC examination committee for certification and went through the due and thorough examination process as per the board’s guidelines,” Helmed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan is scheduled for theatrical release in January 2023, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.”
Meanwhile, after a lacklustre 2022, Bollywood is aiming to headline big-screen spectacles to dazzle the audience and get them to theatres. This year, they could only manage to deliver superhits like Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, Anees Bazmee’s comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Ayan Mukerji-directed Brahmastra, Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files and Ajay Devgn-starrer Drishyam 2. 2023 will bring Shah Rukh Khan back to screens with Pathaan. SRK also has two other releases – Atlee’s Jawan and Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. If Shah Rukh is going full-proof big with his movies, so are Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn. Salman has Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and his Diwali release, Tiger 3. Ajay will return with his film Maidaan and Bholaa.
“Amid an unofficial ban on Pakistani films in India, there were reports that Fawad Khan’s recent hit, The Legend of Maula Jatt, was scheduled to release in India today. However, a day before it was supposed to come out, the film’s release has been indefinitely postponed. While many reports suggested that the CBFC has revoked the release of the Fawad Khan starrer in India, there has been no official statement from the certification body.
The spokesperson of multiplex chain INOX confirmed in an interview, that the film’s release has been postponed indefinitely, and no new date has been announced for Bilal Lashari ‘s directorial. “
Moving on. In a recent interview, Janhvi Kapoor spoke about her mother’s films and said that even though it was the norm back in the day, it was not okay for Sridevi to be paired opposite grown men when she was 13, and then with their sons just a few years later. She added, “It was very wrong, but it’s how it was back then.” She also reflected on her South Indian roots and said that she can connect more with her mother’s culture than her father’s Punjabi side. Janhvi made her acting debut with the film Dhadak in 2018, which was released a few months after Sridevi’s death. Most recently, Janvhi starred in Good Luck Jerry and the survival thriller Mili.

She said, “After he suffered a heart attack there was a lack of blood supply and oxygen to his brain and this caused Status Epilepticus.” Nitin Manmohan is survived by his wife, daughter Prachi and son Soham.
“Meanwhile, actor and author Twinkle Khanna shared a throwback photo with her father, veteran actor Rajesh Khanna on Instagram on their birthday. As the movie completed 33 years of its release on Thursday, 29th December, Bhagyashree shared a video of school children singing the film’s popular song “Dil Deewana”. In Maine Pyar Kiya, Bhagyashree played the female lead Suman opposite Salman Khan’s character Prem. The movie was directed by Sooraj Barjatya and produced under the banner of Rajshri Films. She made a comeback to acting in 2019 with the Kannada movie Seetharama Kalyana. She was last seen in the Prabhas and Pooja Hegde movie Radhe Shyam, which tanked at the box office.
“Lastly, one never expected the cracker combination of Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh’s Cirkus to fail so miserably at the box office. The big-budgeted comedy caper that was billed as a family entertainer has not been able to mint money even as the film has been in theatres for almost a week now.
According to trade expert Abhimanyu Bansal, on the sixth day, Cirkus earned a dismal Rs 2.25 crore, taking the total earnings to Rs 27.5 crore. James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way Of Water continues to benefit from the festive season and holiday week and Cirkus’ poor footfall. On the other hand, Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 2 is still running in cinemas and is looking to comfortably earn over Rs 235 crore before the year ends”
