Kalispell Chamber Manufacturing Symposium
The Kalispell Chamber of Commerce will hold its 2022 Manufacturing Symposium on Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Flathead Valley Community College Arts and Technology Building. The symposium agenda will include discussions on manufacturing resources, legislative reform, manufacturing financial forecasting, adaptive leadership sessions, whitewater roundtables and tours of available FVCC career trade programs. Nomads held a job fair
Nomad Global Communication Solutions, which is celebrating its 20th year designing and building connected special vehicles, will hold a job fair at its Columbia Falls facility on Oct. 21. The Montana-headquartered company has developed custom solutions for NASA, Verizon. The US Department of Defense, utilities, educational institutions, health care providers, and dozens of state, local, and federal agencies. The job fair gives the community an opportunity to learn more about the work the company does and how people’s unique skills and abilities fit into the picture. The event will be held from 3-7pm at Nomad, 5414 US 2, Columbia Falls.
The workshops look to attract international visitors
Glacier Country Tourism is partnering with Discover Kalispell, an international inborn tour operator, to host informative workshops on how to market to the international visitor. Find essential tips for working with this lucrative market, along with tools and best practices to attract international visitors to businesses year-round. Workshops are free, but only 30 places are available for each workshop. Workshops are Thursday, October 13th from 10am-noon and 2-4pm at Homewood Suites, 195 Hutton Ranch Road, Kalispell. Landing Association Conference
The Montana Lodging and Hospitality Association will hold its Fall Tourism Conference and Trade Show in Billings on October 25-27. This year’s theme focuses on “Montana Hospitality…Embracing Change” and providing leadership in rapidly changing times. The event will begin with an evening welcome event on Tuesday, October 25 and conclude with an evening awards banquet on Thursday, October 27.
