Atlanta – The Georgia Bulldogs football team kicks off Saturday against Oregon at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Although the game is technically at a neutral site, its location 70 miles west of Sanford Stadium means red and black can be the dominant colors in the stands.
National championship fans can rest assured, and so do the Georgia Aquarium sea lions who picked the Bulldogs to beat Oregon.
California sea lion Diego rested his head on a Georgia football helmet and let out a few grunts, perhaps more motivated by the delicious fish than the excitement of college football.
Diego is the latest species to predict college football games at the Georgia Aquarium. Otters, Seals, Zebra Sharks and Black-Bottomed Rays are 3-1 in playoffs since 2018.
Diego picked Georgia Tech to beat Clemson on Monday in the second Chick-fil-A kickoff game from Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
