One of those under-the-radar running back prospects plays at Alabama State and today picked up an offer from Georgia Tech. Jagarius Haynes is the latest running back to accept a walk-on offer from the Yellow Jackets and it comes a day after Brent Key decided to hire Vanderbilt running backs coach Norval McKenzie.
McKenzie hasn’t been shy about making offers since he was hired yesterday, and Haynes is the latest. Deago Benson was featured yesterday and this weekend, Evan Dickens is set to take his official visit to Atlanta.
Hayne is a powerful runner with room to grow. He’s tough to bring down and can be a home run threat in the backfield.
Other offers Haynes has made include Clemson and Washington State. Key is currently looking to close out the division strong and make a run for next season.
The Yellow Jackets’ division is currently ranked 67th by the 247Sports Compendium and 14th in the ACC.
