in Lost. The computer never takes its eyes off the action as the audience tries to solve this clever puzzle through an always-on view. Swiping left, swiping right, sometimes in the absence of anyone, the computer is watching a story about itself as the hero. That’s the genius of this film, producer Sev Ohanian told me in a recently released extensive interview with Sony Pictures.
With cinematic sensibilities, sweeping twists and a shocking ending, there’s plenty to build on. Lost From others in the horror genre of the screen – including the prequel, the most popular of 2018 look for.

For two hours, a moment does not drag. It’s cheeky, it’s scary, it’s got a lovable performance by Portuguese actor Joaquim de Almeida that deserves its own series. He even locked up HBO’s Ken Ling Industry – and then there’s the alien subplot looming in the background.

You know, it made financial sense to get the first release in theaters. The first movie look forIt was an international hit, grossing $75 million in theaters, and $20 million in Korea alone. Also, the film is rehearsed in a communal setting. As a filmmaker, I always ask the studio to save me a seat at the screening because I want to see what the audience feels – holding on to their seats, the slow dread, the applause. There is no substitute for that.

Lost Editors Arielle Zakowski and Austin Keeling talk to me about how editing tools with AI features like Adobe Premiere Pro are enabling anyone to achieve a professional level of cinematic polish to their film projects. Do you agree with this?
The technology is great and I’d love to see more original stories come from it, but it’s still hard to make a compelling film in this computer screen format. We spent a lot of time trying to make it new, original, surprising and satisfying, but it remains to be seen whether it can be repeated without the audience getting tired of it.
Does that mean you won’t get a sequel out of it?
