McHenry County Business Championship finalists include MercyHealth, MCCC-Shaw Local


From 30 nominations, the McHenry County Economic Development Corporation selected 17 finalists for the Business Champion Award, which recognizes businesses in McHenry County that have positively impacted the economy of McHenry County.

The finalists include:

Among companies with 24 or fewer employees, Crystal Lake Vo-Tech Inc., Crystal Lake Alpha Swiss Corp., Crystal Lake Glass Inc. and McHenry Heating & Air McHenry;

Among those with 25 to 100 employees are Woodstock Alliance Contractors, Dordan Manufacturing Co. of Woodstock, Duraflex of Cary, Crystal Lake National Gift Card and Plum Grove Cary;

Among those with 100 to 299 employees are General Kinematics of Crystal Lake, Durex of Cary, Superior Felt & Filtration LLC of McHenry and Technipaq of Crystal Lake; And

Among those with more than 300 employees are: MercyHealth of Rockford, Werner/Knack LLC of Crystal Lake, Kelco Guardian of Woodstock and McHenry County College of Crystal Lake.

The 2022 Business Champion Award presentations will be a highlight of the McHenry County Economic Development Corporation’s annual dinner, which will be held Nov. 1 at the Holiday Inn in Crystal Lake.

Last year’s winners were Enviro Sipp Straw of Woodstock, Mack Automation of Woodstock, Jessup McHenry Manufacturing and Northwestern Medical McHenry of McHenry Hospital.
