Northerners buy music in retro fashion

DULUTH, MN. (CBS 3 Duluth) – Some northerners gathered at Wussow’s Concert Cafe on Sunday to take in some old fashioned singing.

Round Here Records Duluth held a record store at the Concert Cafe.

According to owner Evan Tepler, he holds events like this at various locations around the Twin Ports.. including Bent Paddle Brewing and Earth Rider.

He said that despite the increased interest in streaming music, many people enjoy listening to music on vinyl.

“There are many people who love it, its nostalgia. There are a lot of people who have been collecting for years, and then there are younger people who are just discovering it and finding out what it’s all about,” Tepler said.

Tepler said the Northland is a very musical community and people in the area are very supportive of the arts.
