Recent Advances and Applications in Bioprocessing for Biosimilars, Vaccines and Bioenergy
International Conference on Bioprocessing India, 8Th One of the series will be held in person between 16 and 18 December 2022 at CSR-National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) to present and discuss new scientific developments in this fast track process. The scientific program aims to highlight Modern technologies in bioprocessing for biosimilars, vaccines and bioenergy and how to further progress in this field will trigger discussions.
The accuracy of the bioprocessor is multifaceted and ultimately determines the quality of the biotherapy. Bioprocessing starts with designing and developing cell lines and continues until the product is manufactured. The methods and techniques form an essential lesson for every scientist, engineer or manager in the biopharma industry.
Program Highlights:-
The event will begin with a keynote address by Dr. Cyrus Karkaria, President of Lupine Pharma’s Biotechnology Division, followed by plenary remarks by Professor Abraham Lehnhoff, University of Delaware Chemical Engineering Professor Allen P. Colburn and Dr. Umesh Shaligram, Executive Director and Board Member, Serum Institute of India.
The 2.5 day meeting is expected to cover fundamentals and applications of advanced research and development in academia and industry. Areas covered include classical themes and modern developments in the biopharma industry.
Some of the key areas of industrial interest include upstream and downstream processing for recombinant protein therapeutics, enhancement and bio-manufacturing along with biophysical and analytical characterization will be a core part of the conference.
Another main focus will be biocatalysis, biotransformation, metabolic engineering for bioenergy. Basic scientific concepts of protein folding, folding, assembly, protein engineering, in-silico and mechanistic modeling critical to the success of the vaccine and biopharmaceutical industry will be focused on in some sessions.
Biosensing and assays are discussed in some detail. It also explores nutrition and natural product chemistry. Modern approaches to synthetic biology and ideas on stem cell technology, gene therapy and drug delivery will also be part of these discussions.
With 70 invited talks from academia and industry, 50 student talks and posters, 2 interesting start-up stories and several workshops, this will be a melting pot of knowledge, ideas and discussion and collaboration.
