The pre-fall show with diesel
The Diesel Pre-Fall 2023 fashion show showcased a selection of bold and strong jeans that truly embodied the spirit of the iconic denim. From wide leg styles with distressed accents, to long detailed bells, there was one stunning look after another. A wide selection of washes were used, with different shades of blue. These included light wash jeans with subtle fades as well as more traditional medium and dark wash styles. For those looking for something a little more edgy, there were also distressed styles with slits and frayed edges.
The versatility of Diesel jeans lends itself to various styling options allowing for endless possibilities when creating looks from this collection, as consumers can mix and match different pieces to create their own style aesthetic. Overall, these denim jeans from the Diesel Pre-Fall 2023 fashion show set the trends in all things denim – from classic silhouettes to modern updates of old classics. They are designed for anyone to achieve the type of look they want while staying true to their personal style.
“My focus for this collection is real, everyday fashion. It’s all about the clothes that will come into our stores, the wit and charm that is quintessentially Diesel. The pieces have their own personality – when you see them, you know they are from our Diesel universe,” says Glenn Martens, Diesel creative director.
The view with diesel
Get ready to elevate your sense of style with the latest offerings from It Brand Diesel. They have a ton of rebellious and revolutionary pieces in their PRE-FALL 2023 collection that are designed to be worn all over the world. Wearability is important and there is an emphasis on denim, pop and useful vibes. Details are important, and experimentation is encouraged. The collection is filled with multiple denim alternatives, including slim sleeveless denim dresses with zippers that run the length of the front from neck to hem; long denim skirts; jeans with a zipper on the side, and mini skirts and jeans with a patchwork D on the butt. In addition, Diesel is committed to sustainability through the use of more responsible materials, low-impact finishing techniques and a new circular project that recycles denim manufacturing waste into brand new textiles.
With boot cut black trousers which are gray front and back, front tab with press studs and teamed with a black front/grey back moto jacket, the tailoring is also given a Diesel twist . In addition, there are two-tone coats and soft-cut leggings to wear over a zip-up top, with a metallic D logo showing off the flesh underneath, as well as tailored strappy dresses with zips up the front.
White cargo pants are slouchy and have an ankle zipper, while bombers and black cargo pants are stepped up. Jeans and denim pants have a layer that looks like it’s being peeled off, while hoodies and double-layer tops are distressed to reveal the layer underneath. Metallic knit skirts are attached with a D buckle, while metallic knit vests have a D on the chest. On a yellow knit sweater and skirt, the Diesel monogram is printed in metallic gold; tops and miniskirts are in smoked denim knit; and acid cable knits are available in petite vests or floor-length cardigans.
Maps of the world are long-sleeve tees with graphic details, while a vision of the world from space is printed on slip dresses, padded hooded coats and a cardigan-sleeve kaftan. Additionally, there’s an acid floral print on skirts, kaftans and a cropped, ultra-padded jacket. On the back of the black hoodies and tracksuit bottoms, a super-sized D printed in white.
Diesel belts
Don’t you just love a good belt? Diesel is certainly on the case, and they’ve been busy designing some truly stunning waistlines. The viral end of the label’s belt, a leather belt that’s nearly impossible to pull off, has been joined by a few new contenders for best waist accessory — and they’re not messing around.
For Pre-Fall 2023, creative director Glenn Martens wrapped the models’ hips in chunky metallic leather, extra-wide belts, emblazoned with Diesel’s now-iconic “D” logo, of course. The belts are so shiny they look like armor from the future – or at least a very expensive accessory from an alternate dimension where fashion is different and everyone wears really heavy necklaces all the time.
The designer also introduced double wrap belts, which further accentuated the waist. Martens’ continued focus on the waist is indicative of a wider industry trend, where designers are increasingly focusing on the waist to show off the curves of the female body.
Diesel’s classic B-1DR belt also featured in the collection – a testament to Martens’ commitment to quality and timeless style. Low-rise midi skirts paired with super-low skinny belts, and don’t think you have to stick to them, layering belts are perfectly acceptable for next season.
