Portland resident Whitley Nabintu Marshall returned to Manhattan to represent New England and compete for the title of Miss International during New York Fashion Week in Times Square. Whitley previously competed last year, returning as runner-up for the Ms. International title. USA as well as a special award for Leadership. This year she returned home winning the crown, once again being awarded the director’s leadership award.

Whitley Nabintu Marshall is an award-winning artist, activist, and entrepreneur based in Portland who aspires to connect communities through art and cultural exchange, cultivating a uniquely inclusive culture that sparks conversation and inspires compassionate action, making an international influence. She was recently recognized as one of NYC Journal’s Top 30 Women Leaders to Watch in 2022 and has been named one of Model Society Magazine’s Top 22 Models of 2022 and a VIP Model for Supermodels Magazine Unlimited. Whitley has co-founded numerous organizations, including Green Initiatives and World Roots Culture Exchange, leading numerous social and environmental initiatives including the Compassionate Leadership Project.
