BUTTE, Mont. – The momentum swung in all directions as MSU-North looked to end Montana Tech’s home court winning streak, but the final direction was No. 12 Montana Tech men’s basketball. The Orediggers needed two overtimes to win the game 89-85 against the Lightning.
The Orediggers (16-2, 5-1) won their 24th straight at Kelvin Sampon Court. It was the 12th straight Frontier Conference win at home as the double-overtime thriller returns for the 2020-21 season.
Northern’s Immanuel Anderson scored nine of his lights-out points in the final four minutes to send the game into overtime. Michael Ure He made three free throws to keep Tech in the game.
Anderson led the Rays with 17 points in the game, with nine coming late in regulation.

The Lights scored 18 points off a Tech turnover to take an 18-4 lead on second-chance points.
The Oredigers shot 47.1% from the field and dominated at the free throw line, hitting 19 of 29 attempts while the Rays went just 11 of 20 in the game.
Caleb now He led all scorers with a game-high 25 points, going 10-for-21.

Montana Tech returns to Dillon to face the always-tough Montana Western at home. The Bulldogs host the Orediggers on Saturday afternoon.
