Washington – Today, US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Michael S. Reagan The agency acknowledged an “A+” grade for fiscal year 2021. EPA has received an “A” score card for the past 13 consecutive years. In the year Achieving the highest score by 2021 would recognize the agency’s record of supporting small business contracts, exceeding ten of its major contracting and subcontracting goals.
Overall, the EPA scored 122.56%, which is higher than the statewide average of 109.58%. In the year In 2021, EPA allocated 44.52 percent of procurement dollars to small businesses, more than double the statewide small business goal and an increase of $89 million from EPA’s small business budget in 2020.

Regan. “I know we will remain committed to supporting small businesses as they grow, innovate, and continue to create generations of wealth and sustainable communities across our nation.”
Every year since 2007, the SBA’s annual Small Business Procurement Score has measured how well federal agencies have met their prime contracting and subcontracting goals for small and socioeconomic businesses. EPA’s Office of Small and Affected Business Utilization will continue to provide contracting opportunities and support to the nation’s small businesses by leveraging the agency’s partnerships with industry.
