Jobbatical – which focuses on relocating workers and whose business has seen a boom in post-pandemic work environments as many workers become “digital nomads” – has secured €11.6 million in funding led by Nordic VC Ventures. Additional investors include Union Square Ventures, Swiss Post Ventures, Karma VC, Metaplanet, Devotion Ventures and angel investors Kristel Kruustük, Indrek Prants, Andres Kull and former Airbnb Head of Experience Joe Zadeh. As the world goes completely paperless in terms of migration, Jobbatical is well positioned to take advantage of a world previously dominated by the likes of Deloitte and others.

Jobbatical manages employee relocation, especially for high-growth technology and fintech companies such as N26, TravelPerk and Personio.

Around 1 in 30 people move internationally each year.

The company said it has experienced 8x ARR growth and 19x MRR growth in Germany in the last 12 months, while also turning to cash flow and EBITDA positive.

Joe Zadeh, angel investor and former head of Airbnb Experiences, said in a statement: “When my family moved internationally, the process was confusing and required months of administrative hurdles. When I found out about Jobbatical, I was compelled by their progress in making the entire process super easy. This is good for companies as crossing national borders brings new perspectives and gives employees more flexibility.

Founded by Estonian entrepreneurs and brothers Karoli and Ronald Hendriks and Ankur Agarwal, Jobbatical has grown from recruiting to facilitating the relocation of workers and immigration processes.

Carolee Hendricks told me in an email: “The exciting thing about our market is that many of them are being created as we speak. In addition to traditional displacement, the number of digital nomad workers has exploded since the pandemic. Throughout human history, people have moved as much as they do today, and their needs are very different from traditional migration. I call this new market borderless living technology and we are helping to create it.

“With just 2 million euros in the three years since we launched, we’ve built the most scalable product in our industry and with zero code we can launch a new country on the platform in one day. Additionally, we’ve automated the most critical migration steps from automated case assessment to full deployment, and we’ve done that within days of each “We can adapt to new countries. That’s why we have been able to expand to thirty new countries in the next 24 months with this Series A,” she added.
