Money talks, and Lori Harvey’s green dress at New York Fashion Week is telling us it’s time to stock up for fall. On September 8, the model attended the Vogue NYFW kick-off event in an iridescent mini dress, which is Look 12 from Christian Cowan’s Fall/Winter 2018 collection. Harvey styled the look with diamond earrings and white Christian Louboutin So Kate Patent Leather 120 Pumps. She wore her hair in a straight bob and rocked bold mascara and a two-toned lip for the soiree.
Harvey’s gown, styled by Elly Karamoh, featured a high collar and voluminous sleeves, constructed from a shimmering quilted fabric. The zip-front gown also featured a thigh-high slit that disappeared beneath the oversized ring belt around her waist, an equally eye-catching strip of fabric hanging from the figure-hugging skirt to the dress’s emerald-striped hem. As we create our style charts for fall, Harvey’s dress is a helpful reminder that the right coat can make—or even be—an outfit.
For Harvey, a New York Fashion Week regular, the look is one of many we can expect to see her debut next week. In the past, one of the model’s most memorable NYFW looks was a tailored blazer and tailored pants by Michael Kors. Most recently, Harvey stepped out in a hooded slip dress with a high slit from Greg Lauren’s Spring 2015 collection at the premiere of Netflix’s Me Time in LA. Just before the premiere, she also rocked a sheer tiger print bodysuit by LaQuan Smith for a night out.
