Man arrested for breaking into local churches, business – FOX13 News Memphis

Memphis, Tenn. – A man has been arrested for stealing from 8 different businesses.

In the year On July 6, Millington Police responded to a business robbery at Inside Out on Navy Road.

The suspect stole several lawn care tools

Surveillance footage identified the suspect as Michael Armstrong in a statement.

In the year On Aug. 23, Millington police responded to a robbery at St. James CME Church on Navy Road.

Armstrong broke into the church through a window and ransacked several rooms.

The suspect stole a laptop and a Bluetooth speaker, police said.

On Sept. 29, police responded to a church robbery at First United Methodist Church on Wilkinsville Road.

The suspect stole food from the food pantry.

On Oct. 5, police responded to a robbery at USA Stadium on Babe Howard Boulevard.

Armstrong stole energy drinks and a Samsung cellphone, police said.

On Oct. 8, police responded to a robbery at Standard Construction on Rall-Millington Road.

The suspect stole walkie-talkies and a WiFi router.

On Oct. 11, police responded to a burglary call at New Beginnings Church on Nelson Road.

Armstrong stole several DeWalt tools, tool boxes, speakers, cash and T-shirts with “New Beginning Church” emblazoned on them.

On Oct. 11, police responded to a robbery at Pulse Industries on Jack Huffman Boulevard.

The suspect stole various tools, camping supplies and computer hardware, police said.

On Oct. 13, police responded to a robbery at the Community Medical Center on US Highway 51.

Armstrong stole drugs and costume jewelry, the affidavit said.

Later, officers received an anonymous tip that Armstrong was in room 201 of the Super 10 Motel.

After police went to the room and a man answered the door, Armstrong became confused before officers arrived, court documents show.

Michael Armstrong was later arrested and charged with 8 counts of burglary.

Armstrong has a court date on Oct. 17.
