After working in some typical Bollywood movies, actress Nushrratt Bharuccha has now started to gravitate towards female led movies which rely on their content instead of a big cast or elaborate budget. After starring in ‘Chhorii’ and ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’, Nushrratt is now all set to headline yet another project.
She’ll be seen in a thriller film titled ‘Akelii’. Set in the desert of Iraq, the film will explore how people realise their hidden capabilities when their survival is on the line. ‘Akelii’ will be helmed by debutant Pranay Meshram, who has previously worked on films like ‘Queen’ and ‘Commando 3’.
Talking about the film and Nushrratt’s casting in it, producer Nitin Vaidya said, “Her (Bharuccha) character in this film symbolises a lone woman’s battle against all odds. The film’s subject is very different and as a storyteller Pranay has visualized each and every bit so well that his conviction made us want to back this movie.”
Apart from this, Nushratt will also be seen in films ‘Ram Setu’ and ‘Selfie’.
