Tech improved to 5-0-1 with the win and recorded its 2nd straight clean sheet of the season. Powell recorded her second multi-goal game of the season and now has five for her rookie campaign. The 49ers dropped to 0-4-1 overall.
How did it happen?
Virginia Tech took a 1-0 lead when Powell scored her 5th goal of the season in the 54th minute and assisted on a layup. Aino Vuorinen He put a perfectly weighted ball through Charlotte’s backline.

Virginia Tech made it 3-0 on Powell’s 86th-minute goal for the fifth of the season. Powell’s streak marked the Hokies’ fourth game of the season with at least three goals.
