ST. george – Utah Tech University’s weekly lecture series, “The University Forum,” is underway for the fall 2022 semester, designed to introduce the Southern Utah community to diverse ideas and personalities while expanding their worldview.
“The University Forum is a long-standing and wonderful tradition here at Utah Tech,” University Forum Chair John Burns said in a news release. “Our mission is to help participants have a window on the world with the goal of fueling a hunger and thirst for curiosity-driven, life-long learning.”
The 50-minute presentations take place on most Tuesdays during the Utah Tech academic semester in Dunford Auditorium, located in the Browning Resource Center on the UT campus. Admission is free, and the public is encouraged to attend.
“Bring a friend or 10, an enemy, a relative, a neighbor, or an acquaintance,” Burns said. Join us for fascinating topics and guests.
The university forum aligns with the university’s strategic goal of establishing the community as a university and providing educational resources and learning opportunities to Southern Utah, according to the news release. The goal is part of the university’s five-year strategic plan, Trailblazing Distinction, where the institution is working to become the country’s first open, inclusive, comprehensive, polytechnic university.
