The best fashion looks from the 2023 Critics’ Choice Awards

Tonight, it’s all about celebrating the art in film and TV for the 28th^th Critics’ Choice Awards. But it’s also about fashion’s celebration of established and emerging talent whose creations appear on the red carpet. Last week 80^th The Golden Globes officially kicked off Awards Season, and tonight is another historic night for awards season. Hosted by comedian Chelsea Handler, from the Fairmont Century Plaza, the premiere is live on The CW at 7pm ET.

Since the end of 2022, and especially since the Golden Globes, those in film and TV have been whispering and speculating about who will win Best Picture tonight. Will it be: Avatar: Waterway, Babylon, Banshees and Inisher, Elvis, Everything Everywhere at Once, The Fabelmans, The Glass Onion: A Knife Mystery, RRR, Tár, Top Gun: Maverick, or Talking Women? The film Everything Everything At Once has fourteen nominations.

The red carpet has many actresses who have chosen to wear color. Yellow, gold and orange are the trending colors of actresses from Dominique Fishback to Amber Ruffin; and, nudes and silver colors are not missing colors either.

Sheryl Lee Ralph in Jovana Louis

Ralph is glowing gold in an off-the-shoulder Jovana Louis number. Designed by the young Haitian designer, who is inspired by Haitian, Asian and French cultures. Ralph commented on the red carpet that her daughter is her own designer and encourages her to wear emerging designers, which gives them a platform for their brand.

The actor has been nominated for Best New Actor for the film Until.

Quinta Brunson

The comedian is up for Best Actress in a Comedy Series and her Abbott Elementary service is up for Best Comedy Series.
