The Real Gunkie Fashion Festival showcases Louisiana fashion

BOSSIER CITY, La. (KSLA) – Top designer Tki Francis and Louisiana fashion brand Real Gunkie are back with the 2nd Annual Real Gunkie Fashion Festival.

Louisiana fashion is back with the Real Gunkie Fashion Festival for its second year, once again taking over Shreveport-Bossier. The festival will highlight Louisiana’s growing fashion industry in advance of the upcoming New York Fashion Week, which begins on September 8. The first event in 2021 sold out and this year’s line-up promises to be just as impressive and much bigger.

The event is being held at the Bossier City Civic Center, 620 Benton Rd, Bossier City and begins on August 27th starting at 3pm General admission tickets are $25 and are for ages 18+. Lead designer, Tki Francis is a Shreveport-Bossier native who graduated from Air Force High School, then from Louisiana Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising and Consumer Studies.

  • Featured designer during Los Angeles Fashion Week
  • Featured designer during New York Fashion Week
  • The designer featured in CIE Fashion Magazine based in Los Angeles
  • Featured stylist in 7 Hues magazine
