Ashley Full, co-founder and designer at AMOUR781, said loafers with soles will remain popular, especially in the spring. The style refers to thick, rubber soles.
“The moccasins with soles that were the favorite of the ‘It Girls’ this fall will continue to be a trend in the spring,” she told Insider. “Your fat family will be the perfect complement to the tennis miniskirts everyone added to their wardrobes in 2022.”
The stylist also recommended adding a college-inspired sweater to complete the look.
Shades of green are on the rise.
Moss and fern green are at the forefront of the trend.

Full told Insider that she expects to see different shades of green, including ferns and moss, this year.
“We’re going to see ferns and green moss this spring through fall,” she said. “This color can be a challenge for some, but you can embrace it through patterns or accessories.”
Pink is predicted to be popular as well.

Shades of pink can make a bold statement, and Full told Insider there will be plenty of color this year, especially with the new “Barbie” movie coming out in July.
“Expect to see head-to-toe bold pink in fun bright hues,” she said. “More reserved fashionistas might choose to tone it down with touches of moss and fern green. But I say don’t be afraid to go all out.”
Ballet flats will continue to be popular.
The trend has come and gone for the past two decades.

Harmony Pilobello and Shilpa Iyengar, designers and co-founders of Alterre, said the ballet trend is here to stay.
“While people commute from work to home in slippers or sneakers, ballet flats are a comfortable alternative to working in the office and running errands,” they said. “We also foresee more people wearing satin ballet flats to formal events like weddings.”
Transparent details, reminiscent of Y2K fashion, are not going anywhere.
Clear bags are an easy way to follow the trend.

Personal stylist Susan Padron expects Y2K trends, including transparent details, to last for shoes, bags and clothes.
“Think clear plastic, but elevated and expensive,” she told Insider. “Brands like Mach & Mach are even releasing clear pumps to wear to an event or as a statement piece with jeans.”
Sparkles are perfect to dress up outfits.

Grace Thomas, founder and chief designer of Builtgracefully, said sparklers will continue to bring clothing to life in 2023.
“I think we’ve only seen the tip of the spear in this trend, with the festive season always a time for sequins and glitter,” she said, adding: “Embroidered button-up jumpers, jeweled heels and diamante jeans – as the details are just some of the trends we’ll see come to life.”
Cargo pockets are coming back in style.

According to Lana Blanc, New York-based designer and founder of The Blanc House, cargo pockets will make a big comeback this year.
“We saw this trend gain momentum (with cargo pants) in 2022, but it’s coming in a big way for 2023,” she said. “Large pockets were seen on almost every Spring/Summer 2023 runway, including but not limited to Miu Miu, Fendi, Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Marant, Versace and Brunello Cucinelli.”
The designer said we can expect to see cargo pockets on everything from pants and shorts to skirts and coats.
Faux leather leggings are sure to be a hit.
The leather-like look can be both comfortable and fashionable.

Jackie Condura, personal stylist and fashion blogger, told Insider that faux leather leggings will continue to make an appearance this year.
“Faux leather heels have gone viral and this trend has emerged as one of the season’s biggest,” she said, adding, “It gives black lovers an upgrade while adding a wild touch to our outfits. Plus, they go with everything.”
She suggested styling them with chunky sweaters and classic sneakers.
Blazers will remain a popular trend.
Anyone can incorporate a nice blazer into their wardrobe.

Condura said people will continue to layer pieces and top it all off with a blazer this year.
“Once reserved for the office, they now go far beyond the conference room and have become a fashionable focal point,” she told Insider, adding, “With the resurgence of the 1990s and the Y2K nostalgia of haute couture and fashion obsession and those decades, designers will continue to introduce new fabrications and ways to wear them.”
The stylist said you can easily pair the jackets with casual denim or dress them down.
Menswear is being re-imagined in women’s fashion.
