“When I was 10 years old, one of my family members… their house burned down and I remember the feeling,” said Emmanuel Aronov.
At that time, Aronov wanted to do everything possible to help his family.
Now, he owns a Redline Auto Group dealership on North Cave Creek Road in Phoenix — not far from where the fire destroyed the home of about 80 people.
The fire broke out on October 6 around 1:00 p.m. The fire killed everyone, including the woman we spoke to that night.
“We saw the fire first and the tree went up and then, like in general, some other apartments exploded, and I was like, ‘Oh,’ so I was scared,” she said. I’m shaking, I’m scared, I’m scared… Hopefully we’ll still get our place because I don’t want to be homeless.
The sad fact is that she and many others are unable to return home. Now Aronov is collecting the items that families need the most.
“The feedback I was getting was only clothing and mainly items for children around 2 to 15 years old,” he said.
Aronov is located at Redline Bus Group at 9827 N. Cave Creek Road, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
