The goal of the social media network, recently announced by Twitter Inc. Its mission, according to Elon Musk, is to be the most accurate source of information about the globe. This statement led to a discussion of how to achieve this goal and who would use the right thing.
Twitter should be the most accurate source of information about the world. That is our mission.

Musk was challenged by Twitter founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey. Who is it right for? Dorsey asked more on Twitter.
As judged by people on Twitter at Community Notes (formerly Birdwatch).

Musk answered immediately. He retaliated, as determined by Twitter users in Community Notes (formerly known as Birdwatch).
Birdwatch, a community-driven, collaborative Twitter service that helps users stay informed and provides a helpful context for posting. After Musk took over Twitter, he changed the name of the movement to “Community Notes.”
The fight was still very much in progress. Following that, the platform saw a few tweets from the former and current leader criticizing each other’s strategy.
“I still think… Birdwatch is a much better name. And ‘more informative’ is a much better goal,” Dorsey tweeted. Musk was not the usual silent spectator. Birdwatch gives me the creeps, he says in response.
Community Notes is the most boring Facebook name ever, Dorsey replied. Not everything should have ‘bird’ in its name, responded the Twitter Complaint Hotline Operator (Musk Twitter bio). There are way too many groups of birds fighting each other on Twitter. Happy birds.
Musk wants Twitter to be a forum for free speech free of misinformation. However, it is easier said than done. Jack is one of many who ask how this is done. “More talk is the best remedy for wrong talk.” Any alternative method of enforcing “correct information” requires someone to serve as the arbiter of the facts. How do you intend to carry out the task? Someone wrote.
The best solution to false speech is more speech. Any other strategy for enforcing “correct information” requires someone to be the judge of truth. How do you plan to accomplish the mission?

Well, that might be if you let everyone have a voice. Not just the radical left.

Many users asked Nancy Pelosi’s husband to fact-check his tweet about the attack on the Speaker of the US Congress.
Many tweets were seen praising him and giving authority to his vision.
Accuracy is a flawed metric for an app like Twitter. Its purpose is to promote freedom of speech. What is widely considered a lie can sometimes be an unpopular truth. Human development comes from being exposed to ideas that are incorrect, wrong, or thought outside of normal discourse.
