The trip • They took a tour with a local company to visit four national parks in Texas and New Mexico, which they had never visited before.
Travel tip • Big Bend is extremely remote from civilization, and accommodations are limited. The area there is desert like and has about 20% humidity. You need lots of water and hand cream. Traveling in spring is ideal to avoid the heat.
