Quinn & Harry, a marketing and communications firm with a New London office, has hired Dave Gellar as vice president of sales and marketing and Troy Hall, a graphic designer. Gellar was one of the founding members of the firm when it was launched as Quinn & Gellar 20 years ago this month. He previously worked for The Day. Quinn & Harry is a member of the Reagan Communications Group based in Boston.

In celebration of National Veterans Small Business Week, the SBA Connecticut District Office in partnership with the East City Veterans Community Center will host the Veterans Small Business Fair, November 2, 9 am-1:30 pm in East City. Veterans Community Center, 1010 Main St., Willimantic.

The fair will connect aspiring/current service members, veterans, members of the National Guard and Reserve, and military spouse entrepreneurs with available resources, including breakout sessions facilitated by subject matter experts.

The New London Fire Department has partnered with State Farm and the National Fire Protection Association to promote this year’s Fire Prevention Week™ campaign, “Fire Don’t Wait.
