Lubbock, Texas – Texas Tech senior quarterback Tyler Shaw He was recognized on his second watch list Wednesday afternoon as a preseason candidate for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.

This is the second consecutive season that Shaw was named to the Golden Arm Watch List as he was one of 76 quarterbacks recognized. It’s a pre-production watch list for the show that was named a Reese Senior Bowl nominee earlier in the day.

He had career games between Texas Tech and Oregon where he completed 66.4 percent of his passes for 2,575 yards and 22 touchdowns. Shaw completed 69.6 percent of his passes (64-of-92) in his first season as a Red Raider a year ago, throwing for 872 yards and 6 touchdowns before the injury.

A native of Chandler, Arizona, Shaw joined his teammates on the Reese Senior Bowl watch list that day. Tyree Wilson, Sarodoric Thompson, Reggie Pearson Jr And Adrian Frye.
