Cougars to Travel In-State for Sunday Match


HUNTSVILLE, Texas. The University of Houston Soccer program will head out for another non-conference road match to face Sam Houston at 1 p.m., Sunday, from Pritchett Field.

ABOUT THE COUGARS

·       Houston is in its first season under Head Coach Jaime Frias.
·       The Cougars are 0-1-1 on the season.
·       In its last match, Houston fell to Lamar in a 3-0 decision on Sunday.
·       The Cougars lead the all-time series, 8-0.
·       In the last meeting against the Bearkats, the Cougars claimed a 2-0 decision (Sept. 5, 2021) at the Carl Lewis International Complex with both goals from forward Nadia Kamassah.

SCOUTING THE BEARKATS

·       Sam Houston is in its first season under Head Coach Sonia Curvelo.
·       The Bearkats are 0-2 on the season.

·       In its last match, Sam Houston fell to Texas A&M in a 6-0 decision on Thursday.

UP NEXT

The Cougars return to Houston for their home opener 7 p.m., Sept. 1, against future Big 12 Conference opponent Baylor at the Carl Lewis International Complex.

Fans in attendance will receive mister fans and cooling towels while supplies last.

TICKETS

Fans can purchase single-game tickets by clicking hereor by visiting the ticket office. Mobile tickets can also be purchased at game time at the ticket booth located at Schroeder Park (baseball), adjacent to the Carl Lewis International Complex. Students will now be able to claim two tickets at no cost to all home soccer matches. Students can claim their tickets by presenting their student IDs at the gate.
