Deco’s Shireen Sandoval asked to be on the cover of ‘Miami Fashion Magazine’ – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

Fall fashion magazines are always a big deal, it’s a fashionista’s bible, at least for the season, but what happens when Miami Fashion Spotlight asks you to be on its cover? You walk out and get your glam on.

When it comes to fashionable people and places in the Magic City, Spotlight Miami Fashion Magazine knows its stuff.

So when the new publication known for covering local designers, events and cool fashion stuff asked me to be their fall cover, how could I resist?

Lisette Rondon-Diaz/Magazine Maven: “It will be a special edition dedicated to the empowerment of women.”

In addition to stunning dresses, shoes and embellished accessories, the September edition focuses on empowering women at SoFlo.

We shot the cover on the beach at the Ritz Carlton South. Dahhling’ and Susie Q went along for the ride.

Lisette Rondon-Diaz: “She is a very strong personality at the same time she is very noble and she is a fashion icon.”

Wait, is she talking about the dog or me?

In hand – all – the women presented in the number.

Beth Sobel/Fashion Guru: “I’ve seen the industry grow completely, I started Miami Fashion Week in 1999.”

Miami Fashion Week founder Beth Sobel was honored, and star designer Elysze Held was also honored.

Stylist Elysze Held/Star: “The women being honored have been around the industry, at the forefront for some time and we still believe in fashion.”

Like Tammy Apostle, T-ACcouture, who was honored for ethical fashion. She designed my cover dress and the black carpet, by the way and viola, my cover moment, just magical.
