DS Tech adds staff in Marquette, Soo | News, sports, jobs

Escanaba – DS Tech recently announced its commitment to providing high-quality technology offerings to Marquette and Sault Ste. Marie areas, employing two local staff in those cities. Ben Wakuri and Wade Wilding have now joined the DS Tech team, both filling network technician roles.

Since 1976, DS Tech has been supporting the technology, telephony and cyber security needs of companies in the Upper Peninsula. Their recent growth has allowed them to begin expanding their workforce in cities beyond Escanaba.

“We’ve had customers in these areas for decades.” said Josh Marenger, operations manager for DS Tech. “The additions of Ben & Wade allow us to continue our tradition of providing fast and superior IT support in these cities. While most of our work can be done remotely, we do visit our clients in person, and UP is a great place. This increased workforce allows DS Tech to work more efficiently and respond faster than ever before, increasing technician capacity and reducing travel time.

Wakuri and Wilding join the company with extensive experience from healthcare IT backgrounds.

“Ben and Wade already have a safety-first mindset with a strong focus on customer experience. These attributes align well with our own values, so it was an easy choice to bring them on board.” said Marenger.

The two new employees will focus on on-site IT support in their respective cities, as well as provide remote support to all DS Tech customers.
