Dumez shines again at the Carmel Cup.


Pebble Beach, California – The No. 24 Texas Tech women’s golf program is slated to host the 2022 Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach Golf Club.

As she did at Friday’s opening, Gala Dumez Leading the way for the Red Raiders, Dumez shot a one-under 70 with a birdie on 18 to enter Sunday’s third and final round in solo fourth.

The Red Raiders enter the final round in sixth place with a team score of +29 (749).

After 36 holes of play, No. 1 Stanford (-7) leads Texas A&M (+2) by nine strokes. Oklahoma State is tied for third place as a team at +16, one shot behind Arkansas at +17 overall.

Mississippi State posted a team score of +3 on Saturday and ranked fifth overall at +23. Oklahoma (+36) and Vanderbilt (+40) round out the eight-team field.

Stanford’s Rose Zhang is the 36-hole leader at -13. She leads Texas A&M’s 18-hit leader Jenny Park by five hits.
