How did Georgia Tech perform in their games on Friday?


Georgia Tech’s recruiting class was in action last night as high school football’s first big Friday night took place.

Georgia Tech’s recruiting class now sits at 15 commitments and will play against some of the top high schools in the state of Georgia and the nation. Here are the results of Friday night’s games that we follow every week. There were a lot of winners last night and let’s go through them.

  • North Cobb Christian’s Jacob Cruz defeated Heritage Christian to win the game 21-14. Cruz is listed as an athlete and plays both sides of the ball
  • Ohio-based running back Tre Kornist and Winton Woods High School’s 39-16 victory over Trotwood Madison.
  • Alpharetta and offensive lineman Elijah Cloy led the way in a 47-46 win over Jefferson.
  • Defensive back LJ Green and Montgomery Catholic Prep had a big win over McGill-Tollen 45-21.
  • Offensive line Ethan McKenney and Lassiter High School lost to Etowah 25-14 in a tough season opener.
  • Running back Javin Simpkins and Norland High School suffered a tough 28-14 opening loss to Dillard.
  • Offensive lineman Patrick Screws played a tough game for Eufaula against Russell County, losing 14-0.

Georgia Tech has several commitments in Saturday’s games. Defensive end Zachariah Keith, wide receiver Zion Taylor, linebacker Kemal Bonner, linebacker Ashton Heflin, and tight end Justin Reid all have games today. We will update you when the game reaches its finale.
