Style guru Kristine Fernandez, who can be found on TikTok at @missfernandez_, updated her followers during a series called “How I Got More Stylish.”
In the post, which has been liked almost 80 thousand times, Kristine writes: “As it seems, red, in its main shade, is the color that goes with the colors outside the “pastel” and “neon” versions.
She then told her 347,000 fans that the inclusion of the red shoes in her wardrobe – plus another pair – meant she would have gone from having “nothing to wear” to “something to wear “.
Kristine explained: “I’ve added two colors to my shoe collection that don’t seem to go with everything – red and white.”
Before her followers clamored for more information on her fashion decision, Kristine went on to explain her reasoning.
She said: “Red is the color that will go with any color that your skin tone or a black shoe won’t.
“And they take something from the beautiful to the fashionable.”
Next, Kristine showed the red shoes in action and how they instantly brightened up simple outfits.
First, she modeled a simple black top and jeans number, showing how she looked good – but boring – when paired with black heels.
However, she then added red and said it makes her look infinitely more stylish.
The same can be said when she tried red shoes with a leopard dress, a black jumpsuit and a polka dot yellow jumpsuit.
In another video, Kristine focuses on white heels with sandals. She explained: “The second color I added to my wardrobe after red (out of neutrals). It’s not an ‘always’ shoe, but it’s my go-to when I’m into statement dressing.”
