Jason Rembert unveils Aliétte Resort’s first collection – WWD

“I’m so happy to be in this country,” said Hollywood designer and designer Jason Rembert during a preview of his first resort collection. Approaching the collection, the designer wanted to offer feelings of joy and fun, as seen through glam resort embroideries, party-ready silhouettes and rich reds, blues and metallics.

“I’m very happy that color is important to me,” he said. “I am so grateful to work with so many wonderful women who help and guide me. It’s not just women that I style – it’s women I work with as a designer, as a stylist – in my PR teams, editors and publicists, girlfriend and daughter. I think my daughter gives me the use of color – she is five years old. She’s still seeing things creatively and not ‘the way it should be, or the way it is,’ which is incredibly inspiring.”

The resort offered plenty of innovation in this regard with new printed dresses and daywear, as well as party-focused looks such as a frock dress or a white lace wheeled child’s dress – noted as a new in-line fabrication.

Each look within the collection offered holiday-centric appeal while offering just the right amount of support and versatility for the outfit. For example, the long red resort dress, which was updated in tulle for easier appeal, or the collection’s festive blouses, which looked just as attractive with the brand’s vegan leather mini skirt as a pair of jeans.

Ahead of his spring 2023 show, which is set for New York Fashion Week, Rembert’s debut resort collection proved strong and featured a graceful evolution through abundant textures and graceful attitude.
