Jitendra Singh called for more deep tech startups in India

New Delhi Union Minister Jitendra Singh has called for deep technology startups and startups in India’s signature new areas.

The Minister said in a press conference that India International Science Festival (IISF)-2022 will be held in January 2023 in Bhopal. “It is one of the major events after India takes over the presidency of the G-20,” he said.

Singh added that in the last 8 years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, science applications have been used to bring ‘ease of living’ to the common man as scientific discoveries reach from the laboratory to the ground, to every household. .

He said that ISF is a celebration of India’s achievements in science and technology with students, inventors, artisans, farmers, scientists and technocrats from India and abroad. “It also provides an opportunity for people and scientific fraternity at home and abroad to come together, collaborate and experience the joy of doing science for the welfare of India and humanity.”

The minister added that there will be fourteen events in these four days in which more than 8,000 delegates from all over the country will participate. The festival is witnessed by more than several million domestic visitors and remembered for its exceptional grandeur and innovation in science.

“IISF has been growing in its innovative designs of programs and activities, connecting different walks of life with science. The number of participants from India and abroad is constantly growing with each edition and the journey is involving more and more people to achieve the desired results. The participation of Department of Space (DOS) and Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) in support of ISF is an added attraction this year, said Singh.
