Jose Cuervo Brings First Tequila Factory to Metaverse – Retail Technology Innovation Center

Earlier this year, Jose Cuervo announced that he was operating the first tequila factory in the Metaverse.

This National Tech Day (July 24) officially opens the experience in Decentraland.

According to a press release, Metadistillery “reimagines the IRL distillery experience in a way that only Metaverse can create, all while honoring the experience one might have at the Jose Cuervo Larogena Distillery in Tequila, Mexico – Latin America’s oldest distillery operation.” “

“Visitors create their own virtual cocktail – all while learning more about tequila and quickly making new friends in the process.”

Those who complete the experience will be gifted with an avatar digital wearable.

And, to commemorate the opening, Jose Cuervo has teamed up with digital artist Peter Tarka to create ten limited pieces of art that will be randomly downloaded to visitors who request the aforementioned wearables.

The experience is as follows.

Entry to the Metadistillery: Visitors will receive a “Cuervo Challenge” run by the Metadistillery by requesting a bottle of Cuervo Tradicional Cristalino.
